Beloved of Walter Scott the outstandingly beautiful landscape surrounding the lodge affords ample opportunities for exploring cycle trails sailing playing golf and superb walking – the West Highland Way passes close by.

There is an excellent restaurant at Balmaha (6 miles). Shops are found at Drymen (10 miles) and pub serving food is 2 miles away.

Nestling in peaceful seclusion beside the Millennium Forest within the Loch Lomond National Park and just eight minutes' stroll from the eastern shores of Loch Lomond itself (pictured) this very comfortable cottage is ideal for lovers of the great outdoors. Windsurfing canoeing water skiing and sailing are among the water sports enjoyed around the loch and there are many cycle paths and waymarked walks including the challenge of Ben Lomond. A number of golf courses are nearby and the Loch Lomond Shores visitor centre offers retail outlets restaurants and loch cruises. Shops 5 miles pub serving food 1½ miles.

With a pub and restaurant in walking distance and within easy reach of the A82 it makes an ideal base for walking and touring in the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trosssachs National Park region. Visitors can bring their own boat or enjoy pleasure cruises from Balloch. Sailing fishing and golf are nearby. Shops 2 miles.
