In the grounds a well stocked 5 acre fishing lake is sure to please anglers and there are peaceful picnic places and open areas for dog exercise as well as award winning David Bellamy“ nature reserve a pleasant farm walk and 9 hole par 3 golf course; a safely enclosed childrens play area a crown green bowls lawn french boules and a ball games field are all nearby. Though not a working farm“ there are a number of adopted“ animals to meet from Alpacas to ponies and ex battery hens – so hopefully fresh eggs for breakfast and lots of fun for everyone.

This peaceful haven is ideally located for exploring Yorkshire's myriad delights. The east coast from Whitby with visiting tall ships Robin Hood's Bay Scarborough with huge sandy bays Bempton Cliffs (RSPB bird sanctuary) and coves at Flanborough through to Bridlington. Hull with the Deep Sea Life Centre also boasts ice rink cinemas and fine shopping whilst a short drive across the glorious Wolds takes you to York whose attractions include Viking History at the Jorvik the National Railway Museum and the medieval shopping streets. This charming original cobble cottage sits just ¼ mile from both the Blue Flag beach and the more 'dog friendly' northern beach and only a 500 yard stroll through the adjacent park from the bustling centre of traditional Hornsea. A very welcoming well furnished and very comfortable home from home. There is an indoor swimming pool and sports centre near the beach and only ½ mile away Hornsea Mere provides freshwater fishing and boating whilst the local designer outlet offers tempting shops and prices and Honeysuckle Farm is a popular visitor attraction on the edge of the town. Bridlington's seaside amusements The Deep sealife experience at Hull and the picturesque market town of Beverley are all about 15 miles' drive. Bridlington lies 12 miles distant and the great Minster and superb museums in the city of York are a scenic 1 hour drive across the Yorkshire Wolds. Pub and shop 2 miles.

Pleasantly situated overlooking the duck pond in the pretty 'wolds' village of North Dalton these attractive comfortably furnished Georgian cottages provide an ideal base for exploring the area. Together with one other cottage they enjoy shared use of an outdoor swimming pool hard tennis court and a walled orchard garden. Walkers will enjoy the local footpaths including the 'Minster Way' and 'Wolds Way' and dogs are allowed to exercise on designated farm fields.
