To the south lies the popular village of Tintagel with its National Trust post office and dramatic castle ruins of Arthurian legend (4 miles) whilst the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac is just a little further and a great array of attractions are easily accessible including the Camel cycle trail from Wadebridge to Padstow. This comfortable 18th century Grade II listed converted dairy (shown left) lies within a mile of the hamlet of Bolventor and Jamaica Inn of Daphne du Maurier fame. Adjoining the owners' farmhouse it makes a perfect base for enjoying wonderful walks in moorland scenery dotted with Bronze Age settlements fishing and sailing on nearby reservoirs and riding and cycling on the Camel Trail. Both north coast beaches and south coast fishing harbours and the Eden Project are all about 30 minutes' drive. Pub ¾ mile shop 5 miles.

Set within 50 yards of the lovely sandy beach and harbour this attractively furnished and very comfortable cottage sits opposite the church on a narrow winding lane in the heart of the quaint old fishing village of Gorran Haven. From the doorstep glorious clifftop walks along the dramatic coastline afford magnificent views at Dodman Point and the Pentewan cycleway lies 8 miles distant. Shops and restaurants in the bustling village of Mevagissy are just 5 miles away as are the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan whilst St Austell Charlestown harbour with its tall ships and the Eden Project are all a short drive. A 100 yard stroll leads to the village shop and a pub serving food (re-opening in 2010).

Beautiful expanses of sands at both Hayle Towans and Carbis Bay are within 3 miles of this charming old manor house full of character and boasting many original features in its spacious interior. Enjoying its own garden it sits adjacent to the owners' home and adjoining properties within easy reach of a host of delights. Visitors can leave the car behind and take the picturesque branch line train which hugs the coast from St Erth to St Ives or for the more energetic the same route can be followed along the coastal path right into the heart of St Ives where amidst its quaint narrow streets the Tate Gallery the Barbara Hepworth Museum and many other delighful galleries shops and restaurants are to be found. Paradise Park with its exotic birds is just half a mile away whilst St Michael's Mount and Trengwainton Garden (both N.T.) and the bustling town of Penzance for ferry and helipcopter crossings to the Isles of Scilly are only a few minutes' drive; Land's End the Porthcurno Telegraphy Museum and Minnack open air theatre are all a little further afield. Go karting golf tennis fishing and horse riding are all available close by and there are pubs shops and resaurants in Hayle just 1 mile away.
